[Vegan News] Stayday One announced on the 20th that it will pursue its own brand-centered entry into the Southeast Asian market, targeting Indonesia, which has a population of approximately 300 million.
This plan focuses on applying the so-called "commemorative consumption" structure, which connects the experience of staying with food content, to the local market.
Indonesia, the world's fourth-largest country by population, attracts over 14 million international tourists annually and is considered a major tourist destination in Southeast Asia. With tourism and culinary consumption expanding, particularly in Bali, Indonesia is considered to have a market structure that simultaneously fosters a large domestic market base and tourism demand.
Through its "Arirangdowon" facility in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, the company has established a consumer flow where a stay-at-home experience leads to food purchases and repeat purchases. The company operates a model that transforms the experience of visiting a space into a brand asset and connects this to product purchases.
'Seoul Simcheong', which will be unveiled in Bukchon, Seoul in June, is a brand aimed at expanding the commemorative consumption structure based on tourist-intensive areas.
Our own F&B brand, "Pippi," has accumulated over 12 years of operational experience. Building on our execution capabilities encompassing product planning, manufacturing, and store operations, we plan to design a brand-level localization model, not simply a product export.
A Stayday One official said, “Indonesia is a market that has a domestic market base of about 300 million people and an influx of more than 14 million tourists annually,” and added, “Based on our operating experience at Arirangdowon, Seoul Simcheong, and Ppipat, we plan to apply the F&B model based on the stay experience to the local market.”
The company plans to develop a specific entry strategy by exploring local partnerships and accumulating market data, and to consider expanding into major Asian tourist destinations in the future.
